HL_module_4

This performance is a call to the body.

Hand-built wearables translate movement and speed into sound in real time, shifting technologies designed to measure and optimise towards an embodied and sensitive use. The result is not a perfect score, but the response of a living body shaped by error, fatigue, doubt and decision-making. A body that responds, negotiates with the system and, at times, loses its sovereignty.

Technology does not amplify or represent: it mediates. In doing so, it reveals something essential: the impossibility of fully reducing the body to data.

In a context dominated by screens, the piece insists on the physical as an irreducible space. It is not anti-digital, but post-screen: an invitation to rethink our relationship with technologies that we can also build and reclaim.

Who decides when we delegate to algorithmic systems? Is it possible to translate emotion without losing what makes it human?

HL_module_4 is part of a series of performances developed within the framework of the project Human Learning, supported by the Grant for Research and Innovation in the Field of Performing Arts from the Government of Catalonia.
